Refund Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Photon is a digital product supplied through a license or access key. This Policy explains when purchases are final and how delivery, activation, and technical problems are handled.
Once a license or access key has been delivered, revealed, redeemed, or activated, or access to Photon has otherwise started, the purchase is final except where this Policy or applicable law requires otherwise.
1. General refund policy
Photon does not normally offer voluntary refunds, returns, or exchanges after digital delivery has started.
Before purchasing, you are responsible for reviewing Photon’s description, current features, system requirements, license duration, price, and this Refund Policy.
Agreeing to this Policy does not remove any refund, withdrawal, conformity, warranty, or payment rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
2. Cases that are not normally refundable
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, a refund will not be provided because:
- you changed your mind after purchasing;
- you no longer want or need Photon;
- you purchased the wrong plan, duration, version, or license;
- you made an accidental purchase after confirming the order;
- you did not use all or part of the purchased access period;
- the license expired before you used it or while it was unused;
- you expected a particular FPS increase, latency reduction, temperature improvement, Internet speed increase, stability improvement, or other performance result;
- Photon found no significant issues or recommended fewer changes than you expected;
- your PC does not meet system requirements that were disclosed before purchase;
- you use an unsupported Windows version, app version, device, or hardware configuration;
- you cannot use Photon because of customer-controlled settings, missing permissions, security software, firewall rules, network problems, a damaged Windows installation, or changes made outside Photon;
- a third-party service, driver, game, operating-system component, payment provider, Discord, or network provider is unavailable or incompatible;
- a feature you expected was not included in the product description at the time of purchase;
- Photon’s price is reduced or a promotion is offered after your purchase;
- you later find another product or service at a lower price;
- access is temporarily interrupted by reasonable maintenance, updates, or a short service outage;
- you purchased through a third-party seller whose separate purchase conditions apply.
These exclusions apply only where any applicable withdrawal period has expired or has been validly waived and where Photon otherwise provides the product described at purchase.
3. Performance expectations
Photon provides PC performance diagnostics, measurements, recommendations, and user-initiated optimization actions.
Results depend on your hardware, Windows installation, drivers, software, games, settings, workload, cooling, network, and current system condition.
Photon does not promise a specific FPS increase, latency reduction, temperature improvement, stability improvement, Internet speed increase, or other performance result.
A smaller improvement than expected, no measurable improvement, or a recommendation you choose not to apply does not by itself mean that Photon is defective.
4. Missing or invalid keys
Contact Photon support if:
- your paid key was not delivered;
- the delivered key is invalid;
- the key belongs to a different plan or duration than the one purchased;
- a Photon system error prevents a valid key from being activated.
Photon may first resend the delivery, replace an invalid key, reset an activation, correct the license record, or otherwise restore the access that was purchased.
A refund is not required merely because an access problem occurred if Photon can provide working access within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience.
If Photon cannot provide the purchased access within a reasonable time, the purchase will be reviewed for any remedy required by applicable law.
5. Technical problems
A technical problem may be reviewed when a defect caused by Photon prevents the app from starting, activating, or performing its core purchased functions on a supported system.
Photon may first attempt to:
- restore license access;
- replace or reset the license;
- provide troubleshooting instructions;
- correct a service or account problem;
- provide an update or other reasonable solution.
You may be asked to provide your order identifier, purchase date, key preview, relevant error messages, system information, and other reasonable details needed to verify and troubleshoot the problem. Do not post your complete license key publicly.
A refund request may be refused if the problem:
- cannot be reproduced or reasonably verified;
- does not prevent Photon’s core functions from being used;
- is caused by an unsupported operating system, app version, device, or hardware configuration;
- is caused by misuse, unauthorized modification, reverse engineering, tampering, malware, or third-party software;
- is caused by missing permissions, blocked network access, firewall rules, antivirus settings, or other customer-controlled interference;
- results from failure to follow reasonable activation or troubleshooting instructions;
- concerns only the amount of performance improvement achieved.
If a verified material defect cannot be corrected within a reasonable time, Photon will provide any price reduction, contract termination, refund, or other remedy required by applicable law.
6. Withdrawal rights
Consumers in some countries may have a legal period during which they can withdraw from an online purchase.
Where applicable law permits it, Photon is supplied immediately after purchase only after you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that your withdrawal right will be lost once the digital supply begins.
When those legal requirements have been met, no change-of-mind refund is available after the license key or digital access has been delivered, revealed, redeemed, activated, or otherwise supplied.
General acceptance of this Refund Policy does not replace any separate consent or acknowledgment that applicable law requires at checkout.
Where applicable law treats any part of Photon as a digital service rather than digital content, withdrawal and payment for any service already supplied will be handled as required by that law.
7. Duplicate and unauthorized payments
Contact Photon support promptly if the same intended order was charged more than once because of a processing error.
Two separate orders submitted and confirmed by the customer are not considered a duplicate charge merely because they purchase the same plan or were placed close together.
If a charge is claimed to be unauthorized, Photon may temporarily suspend the related license while the payment and order are reviewed.
A verified duplicate processing charge or unauthorized payment will be handled as required by applicable payment law and the payment provider’s procedures.
8. Abuse and revoked access
A refund is not normally provided when access is suspended, banned, or revoked because of:
- license sharing, leaking, renting, or resale;
- fraud or payment abuse;
- tampering with Photon or its license system;
- unauthorized modification or redistribution;
- abuse of the API, website, Discord bot, or download system;
- a charge reversal or fraudulent payment dispute;
- another material violation of the Terms of Service.
This does not prevent Photon from reviewing a restriction that was applied incorrectly or providing a remedy that applicable law requires.
9. Approved refunds
Photon may approve a refund as a voluntary exception, but is not required to do so unless applicable law requires it.
Any voluntary refund decision is made for the individual order and does not create a right to a refund for another customer, purchase, or future request.
Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment method where available. Processing times depend on the storefront, payment method, and payment provider.
When a purchase is refunded, reversed, or cancelled, the related license and access may be suspended or permanently revoked.
Payment-network, blockchain, currency-conversion, or processing fees may be non-refundable where they were charged by an independent provider and applicable law does not require their reimbursement.
10. Requesting support or a refund
For delivery problems, activation issues, technical problems, or refund requests, contact Photon through the Photon Discord server
Include your order identifier, purchase date, storefront used, reason for the request, relevant error information, and the remedy you are requesting.
Requests are reviewed under this Policy, the Terms of Service, the conditions presented at checkout, and applicable law.
